COUNTDOWN FOR THE GRAND MEETING
KMOB 2012 - the 2nd Kayseri Furniture Fair will be held at the Kayseri World Trade Center by Tüyap Fair and Exhibition Organization, Inc. in association with the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce, Kayseri Chamber of Industry, Association of Chambers of Artisans of Kayseri, Chamber of Carpenters, Furniture Makers and Upholsterers of Kayseri, and KOSGEB between April 25 and 29, 2012.
The furniture industry in Turkey has been going through an extensive process of development and technical modernization for the last three decades. The improvement of technique and production capabilities led to a rise in product quality, and made Turkey the 21st largest furniture exporter in the world.
As a regional manufacturing hub and a pioneer in industrial development with its infrastructure, commercial capacity and economic power, Kayseri was the right choice for the first-ever Furniture Fair in 2011. The event attracted 34,655 visitors from 28 countries of the world and 64 provinces in Turkey.
KMOB - Kayseri Furniture Fair became the go-to event for the furniture industry and received great interest from the sector in its first year. For 2012, Tüyap Fair and Exhibition Organization, Inc. is leading intensive marketing and promotion efforts in partnership with the Committee for Furniture Development in Kayseri, and the fair is expected to represent the furniture industry in Turkey to a wide range of domestic and foreign professionals between April 25 and 29, 2012.
The Kayseri Furniture Fair is expanding: the event was held in 3 halls in 2011, and will utilize 4 halls in 2012 to create a wider platform where the best and newest designs will compete in the global marketplace with quality and price advantages. Ongoing domestic and foreign marketing and promotion efforts mean that the fair will bring together the furniture industry in Turkey with global buyers and decision makers in Kayseri, and contribute to the increasing competitive edge of the industry and extend the export capabilities of Turkey.
The scope of the fair includes Home and Children’s Furniture, Accessories, Decorative Units, Kitchen and Bathroom Furnishings, Architecture Offices and trade publications. Products and styles that appeal to all tastes will be available for visiting between 10 am and 8 pm between April 25 and 28, and 10 am and 7 pm on April 29, 2012.
